Pastor Jeremy Jacob grew up in a family of five in the small town of Beresford, South Dakota. He had a good family which took him to a Lutheran church, but he didn’t know Jesus as my Savior. Without Christ in his life, he started to make very poor decisions, and towards the end of his high school days, he began using drugs. These decisions took him to prison when he was 21. While in prison, he was introduced to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. After prison, God directed him to Eastside Baptist Church in Sioux Falls, SD. Shortly after attending, he was baptized and started serving in the bus ministry and preaching in the junior church. As he was serving at Eastside Baptist, he was directed by the pastor to enroll at Heartland Baptist Bible College. During his first year of college, he met his wife, Vicki, and was married the following year. After taking time off, he returned to college and graduated in 2006. From the time he graduated college, he has pastored three different churches. In 2021, he returned to his home church, Eastside Baptist Church. While serving and helping at the church, God called him to start a church in Luverne, MN.
Pastor Jacob has been married for 24 years. During this time, God has given him and Vicki twelve wonderful children. The children's names are Jesse, Joanna, Jonah, Julia, Jenna, Jonathan, Joel, James, Jubilee, Josephine, Jedidiah, and Judson. God’s blessings on Pastor Jacob’s marriage and family are evident as children are a heritage of the Lord. (Psalm 127:3)
